Zero calibration establishes the correct reference point before weighing.
Procedure
1. Empty the weighing pan.
2. Close the draft shield if available.
3. Press the ZERO key.
4. Wait until the zero indicator appears.
5. Verify the display reads 0.00.
Repeat zero calibration whenever environmental conditions change.
