If the load cell is completely unresponsive immediately after a new tank installation, it was likely destroyed by electrical currents or high heat during the fabrication process.
Fabrication Rules for TWS Kits:
1. Never leave the load cell inside the kit during top or bottom plate welding[cite: 11].
2. Before welding, un-screw the two Allen bolts, carefully remove the load cell along with the steel ball, and store it safely away from the welding area[cite: 11].
3. Ensure the temperature of the fabrication structure coming into contact with the load cell kit remains below 45°C[cite: 11].
4. If your load cell has been shorted out by welding currents, it cannot be repaired. You will need to purchase a replacement shear beam load cell.
